Titre : Principles of extractive metallurgy Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Rosenqvist , Terkel, Auteur Mention d'édition : 2 éd Editeur : New York : McGraw-Hill Année de publication : 1983 Importance : XXI-506 p. Format : 24 cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-0-07-053910-5 Note générale : Index Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Métallurgie thermochimie . Métallurgie extractive Index. décimale : 669.053 Extraction des minerais. Métallurgie extractive Résumé :
This second edition of principles metallurgy has the same objective as the first a broad review of the general pricipales which apply in the extraction of metals from their ores, and the same chapter sequence is used.
As it is assumed the reader is familiar with elementary chemical thermodynamics chaps. 2 to 4 have been somewhat condensed, and greater emphasis is put on the application of thermodynamics to metallurgical problems. The one major change has benn in chap.6, which has been given a new "profile", one of reactor design. The remaining chapters have been somwhat expanded in order to include some more recent processes and developments, and some obsolete material is discarded...Note de contenu : Au sommaire :
- Thermochemistry
- Chemical equilibrium
- Melts and solutions
- Reaction kinetics
- Reactor design
- Phase separation
- Fuel and ore preparation
- Rducion of metal oxides
- Vomatile metals

MétallurgieIndex. décimale : 669.053 Extraction des minerais. Métallurgie extractive Résumé :
This volumes represents the first effort to review comprehensively recent developments in the area of rate processes of extractive metallurgy. Ech chapter has been written by an established expert in the field, and the editors have judiciously selected and organized the material to ensure chapter-by-chapter continuity and coherence. The detailed descriptions of techniques will be especially useful to practicing scientists and engineers for obtaining kinetic data through properly planned experiments - data which can be readily utilized in designing appropriate reactors and processes.Note de contenu : Au sommaire :
- Fundamental of the kinetics of hertergeneous reaction systems in extraction metallurgy
- Rate processes in multiparticle metallurgical systems
- Chemical process analysis and design for multiparticle systems
- Hydromettallurgical processes
- Poyrometallurgical processes
- Melting and solidification in metals processingRate processes of extractive metallurgy [texte imprimé] / Sohn, Hong Yong, Éditeur scientifique ; Milton E. Wadsworth, Éditeur scientifique . - New York : Plenum press, 1979 . - XII-472 p. : ill. ; 24 cm.

Sustainable engineeringIndex. décimale : 669.053 Extraction des minerais. Métallurgie extractive Résumé : The rapid revolution in modern industry has led to a significant increase in waste at the end of the product lifecycle. It is essential to close the loop, secure resources, and join up the circular economy. This book provides a detailed review of extraction techniques for urban mining of precious metals including gold, silver, and the platinum group. The merits and demerits of various extraction methods are highlighted, with possible suggestions for improvements. The feasibility of hybrid extraction techniques, as well as the sustainability and environmental impact of every process, is explored. Offers a comprehensive review of different techniques used in recycling technology for urban mining of precious metals Describes the concept of urban mining and its correlation with circular economy Discusses feasibility of precious metal extraction and urban mines scope and their potential Explains the subject in-context of sustainability while describing chemistry fundamentals and industrial practices Provides technical flow sheets for urban mining of precious metals with diversity of lixiviant This book is aimed at graduate students and researchers in extractive metallurgy, hydrometallurgy, chemical engineering, chemistry, and environmental engineering. Note de contenu : Summary :
1. Sustainable urban mining of precious metals: an introduction.
2. Pre-treatment, concentration, and enrichment of precious metals from urban mine resources: pre-treatment, concentration, and enrichment of precious metals.
3. Urban mining of precious metals with halide as lixiviant.
4. Urban mining of precious metals with cyanide as lixiviant.
5. Urban mining of precious metals with thiosulfate and thiourea as lixiviant.
6. Recovery of precious metals using precipitation, adsorption, electrowinning, supercritical fluids and bio mediated approaches.
7. Recovery of precious metals by solvent extraction.
8. Recovery of precious metals using ion-exchange chromatographic approaches.
9. Integrated recovery processes for precious metals from urban mine sources and case studies.En ligne : https://research.ebsco.com/linkprocessor/plink?id=fdd86d52-759c-3ced-a33a-51871b [...] Sustainable urban mining of precious metals [document électronique] / Sadia Ilyas, Éditeur scientifique ; Hyunjung Kim, Éditeur scientifique ; Rajiv Ranjan Srivastava, Éditeur scientifique . - London ; New York ; Boca Raton : CRC Press, 2021 . - 1 fichier PDF ; ill.
